You know how people always complain that Sunset Shimmer doesn't get wings when she ponies up? It turns out, in the official novelization of Rainbow Rocks (I never bother with those, mostly because they're written really young), she does. I'm not sure if that makes things better or worse. :B
It has been a dog's age (whatever that means) since I last checked out the official comics. And this, my friends, is just the first slate; all regular comics up through, well, whenever my source last stopped getting them. I don't know why they aren't reliable. <.< But there's still annuals, specials, Legends of Magic, Ponyville Mysteries and Nightmare Knights to consider, and I'll be rolling those out hopefully in the near future. For now, I had a good time getting back into these. :)

Not what I was actually planning to do today, but once again, getting antsy, other things to do, have some comics. :B
I forgot who said it, or where (probably on one of ColdGoldLazarus's recent blogs), but it isn't just the fandom that consistently produces better content than the show: there's also the comics. But with that said, the comics have also sort of been going downhill lately. Getting back into the comics this time… ehhh, it was okay.
I was feeling kind of aimless this morning, so I thought I'd clear out all the comic issues I've had sitting on my hard drive forever and see what all was there. So we've got the rest of Legends of Magic as well as Ponyville Mysteries, and a couple one-shots.
Reading comics is hard. D: I had like eight issues sitting around long enough for them to release like six more. But last time, things went pretty well, and that continues this time around! So have some comics! It's not like I'm using this as an excuse to procrastinate on the things I should be doing
Now that the first storyline in Heart Forged of Iron is finished, I've decided to go back and re-read some classic Iron Man comics. There's a lot of great ones out there: Both Armor Wars, Demon in the Bottle, the three separate times Tony Stark has basically died and come back to life (not counting both of the technically separate times he's been crippled) —there's a lot to love. But there's one comic in particular
So I was just looking at an old vs. IDW blog to see how I format these when lo and behold, it turns out the Kingdom of Abyssinia has popped up before! :O Mind blown!
That's about it, really, shut up and dance. :B
For my 21st birthday, I obtained several comics, so you can expect to see reviews of them over the next couple of days.
By late 2013, IDW was starting to wrap up the Micro Series, as it was announced that a new series would take its place, Friends Forever.
Meanwhile, a shocking announcement was delivered, when it was revealed that the comics would start to incorporate Alicorn Twilight, starting with Main Series #13 in November of 2013.
So, I guess I got around to reading the Fiendship is Magic comics, and this is my...review? Opinion? I guess both, on the 3rd issue with the Dazzlings. Enjoy!

Ah, Princess Cadance. You never really did amount to much, did you? At least Shining Armor is a cool supporting male character and Twilight's brother, Cadance is just kinda there. It always made me snicker how "You'll Play Your Part" in Season 4 has her kinda shoved into the symbolism with Celestia and Luna as the sun and moon. Anyway, time for her to get a Friends Forever.
Applejack and Fluttershy, eh? An odd pairing, but then that's the point of Friends Forever, giving us characters interacting in new ways the show hasn't or can't do. So let's have a look at how this works out.
I know we've all repressed the memories, but remember back to Season 1 when buffalo were a thing?
